What are our buttons telling us?

Que nous disent nos boutons ? - Endro Cosmetiques

When bothered by small pimples, we often ask ourselves the same questions: "Why do I only have them on my chin?" or "Why do they appear periodically?". Our body manifests itself when something is wrong. So, sometimes a few blemishes appear on specific areas. But for what purpose? Simply to inform you about what's happening in your body. This way, you can correct what's bothering your body.

This is called face mapping! We'll tell you more...

What is face mapping for?

  • Assumptions about pimple appearance

It's true that our blemishes don't always appear in the same place on our face... In the past, hormonal imbalance or genetic predispositions were very often cited. While yes, they can sometimes be the cause of these small pimples, in reality, the sources related to these breakouts are much more varied than that.

Acne is a skin problem that generally appears during adolescence and affects millions of people worldwide. Approximately 5 million French people are currently affected.

There are a lot of plausible explanations!! The specifics of each person and the causes surrounding them remain a great mystery: stress, poor diet, smoking, hormonal imbalance, lack of sleep, or even digestive problems can cause blemishes to appear.

When we make our own diagnosis based on what our parents, friends, or even worse: social networks tell us, the real reasons can sometimes escape us.

The face mapping approach comes from traditional Chinese medicine and is not scientifically proven. It is often present in holistic beauty trends. Of course, this method should under no circumstances replace a real medical diagnosis from your general practitioner or a dermatologist. However, it can help you analyze your mental state, lifestyle, and general well-being, which can impact your skin.

  • It's a tool to understand the causes of acne.

To modify and combat these small blemishes in your daily life, you must first understand why your body is rebelling. Face mapping therefore comes into play at this point!

The principle is that each of the zones of your face is connected to an organ. When you see a pimple appear on your face, it means that one of your organs is saying "ouch". Here, we're not talking about a serious illness or a major problem! Simply small imbalances that can happen from time to time, especially when certain excesses are made. Don't forget that the body expresses itself through the skin, the largest organ in the body, when something is wrong.

To better understand the principle of face mapping, here is a very clear image of all the areas where acne settles. You can observe that the face is divided into seven zones.

It's up to you to identify the area(s) where you have imperfections and thus better understand their appearance.

Each zone has a particular meaning

  • 1 - Pimples on the forehead:

Generally, imperfections that appear on the forehead are linked to a dietary problem. You should therefore pay more attention to adopting a healthier lifestyle based on fruits and vegetables. Reduce your consumption of processed foods, foods that are too fatty, too sweet, and too salty. Your digestive system seems to need a little break. Also remember to hydrate yourself because your stomach doesn't like it!

Do you have bangs? This can also be the cause of your forehead pimples. It's possible that this curtain of hair prevents your skin from breathing. It will lead to even greater sebum secretion and will never allow your skin to be exposed to the air. For this, remember to tie it up from time to time. Even if it's not always very glamorous to have bangs tied up, when you're at home, don't hesitate to do it.

  • 2 - Pimples on the temples:

If acne refuses to leave your temples alone, it's probably because you're not hydrating enough. Your kidneys need water to function properly and drain toxins. So drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day, but the more you drink, the better. You can also consume draining herbal teas to eliminate these impurities. Logically, since you should prioritize water consumption, limit your consumption of alcohol, coffee, and carbonated drinks.

Your hair can also rub against your temples and cause some imperfections to appear there. Try to keep your hair away from this area by tying it up.

  • 3 - Pimples between the eyebrows:

These don't bother people who are designated drivers on nights out. Oh yes! If you overdo it with mojitos, these pimples are for you! Your liver doesn't really appreciate your wild parties with a few alcoholic drinks. It's also a resolutely vital organ, so you need to take good care of it. Remember this saying: "Without alcohol, the party is crazier" 😉.

However, if you've been perfectly sober for weeks, you're probably suffering from a food intolerance and your liver is taking a hit... Finally, if your detox doesn't satisfy your liver and your pimples persist between your eyebrows, it could be due to excess sebum or ingrown hairs after waxing...

  • 4 - Pimples on the nose:

If small pimples appear on your nose, it could be related to cholesterol. Limit your consumption of bad fats which can easily be found in deli meats, dairy products, and many processed foods such as pizzas, for example. Opt for good fats like olive oil or fish.

The emotional aspect can also be the source. A lack of self-confidence or strong emotions like anxiety, anger, or grief can play a disruptive role. The perspiration these cause accelerates the growth of these imperfections. Try meditation, yoga to overcome this permanent stress. Relax and do things you enjoy.

  • 5 - Pimples on the cheeks :

The problem is usually in the lungs when your cheeks are covered in pimples. Smokers, this is often your problem... If you don't intend to quit smoking, a little exercise and fresh air can improve the situation.

We also know that our phone is an almost indispensable tool in everyone's life... It collects tons of bacteria daily that stick directly to your skin when you're on the phone. To limit the presence of these microbes, don't hesitate to wipe it down regularly with an antibacterial wipe. Your makeup brushes are also a breeding ground for bacteria that should be washed just as often.

  • 6 - Pimples on the jawline:

Girls? Do you know the famous "time of the month"? Oh yes... The pimples that appear on our jawlines are related to our hormones.

Honestly, there's not much we can do to fight these. A good lifestyle, patience, and your skin will regain a beautiful appearance over time. Skincare is a very important step in your routine not to be neglected at these times.

Remember to thoroughly remove makeup and cleanse your face (Cleansing Milk Oil), to regularly remove deeply embedded impurities with a scrub (Facial Scrub - Gentle Aloe ) to hydrate your skin morning and evening (Moisturizing Face Cream - Healthy Glow ) and to apply a cream or serum locally to your pimples (Anti-blemish Serum ).

  • 7 - Pimples on the chin:

A detox is ideal for getting rid of pimples on your chin. Remember to drink green tea 😊. Indeed, these imperfections signal that your digestion is not at its best! You can also try to modify your diet a little to reduce the consumption of lactose or gluten, which can sometimes make digestion more difficult.

You now know the different meanings of your pimples and therefore the messages your body is sending you! Of course, each skin is unique and requires different needs. Let's also remember that regularly touching your face with your hands is not ideal for clean skin. This can also be the cause of a breakout regardless of the area. So remember to wash your hands often.
